‘Nothing But Thieves’ (2015)

The debut album from Southend-based band Nothing But Thieves is a solid first effort. For me, it’s Conor Mason’s vocals which make the band stand out from the many alternative rock artists trying to make it big. His vocal range is incredible and comparisons such as Thom Yorke & Matt Bellamy can be drawn.

The album features a strong start and the first track “Excuse Me” highlights Mason’s talent as the track transforms from a tensive verse into an explosive chorus. In my opinion, a very promising debut.

Favourite track: Itch // Least favourite track: Lover, Please Stay
