Tame Impala – ‘Innerspeaker’ (2010)

Tame Impala’s debut album took elements of 60s psychedelic rock and gave it a modern edge, resulting in a refreshing sound to add to the genre.

Innerspeaker explores many ethereal themes and tones, typical of the rise of psychedelia in the 60s. Kevin Parker’s airy falsettos are cast against the backdrop of reverb & chorus-fuelled guitars and smooth bass lines. A strong debut for a band that show great natural progression throughout their discography.
