The material on this album was a departure in sound for now well-established contemporary blues guitarist Gary Moore. Although, this change in sound resulted in him earning his most acclaimed record to date.
There’s a varied range of blues styles presented here with alternating tempos between the individual cuts. Tracks “Moving On” and “Texas Strut” are formed from raucous, upbeat blues rock riffs whilst “As the Years Go Passing By” channels the more downtempo and soulful bluesy jams.
The title track became Moore’s most well-known and a staple in his live sets. Driven by the magnificently toned riff and Moore’s passionate vocals, the track has a warm, calm atmosphere that plays a part in making it an instant classic.
