My Most Listened-To Tracks

Here is a list of my top played tracks according to Apple Music as of 28/06/17. These statistics have been collected since June 2015.

As several tracks in my top 50 appear from the same album, I’ll include a max of one track from a single album to show better variation. That way, a broader look at my musical tastes can be showcased.

As I own a lot of these tracks on vinyl, some play counts may actually be higher than others. Yet this list is solely based on what goes through my personal Apple Music/iTunes.

A fun stat – every song from Tame Impala’s Currents (2015) is in my top 20, with ‘Disciples’ leading the way. In the summer of 2015 and beyond, it got heavy rotation.

There’s a lot of Radiohead present, as when their latest record A Moon Shaped Pool (2016) released last spring, it prompted me to properly delve into their expansive back catalogue. I developed an obsession with the track Reckoner. At the time, I was finishing up my third year at university so I listened to it every single time I walked to campus over a two-month period.

Likewise, with Red Hot Chili Peppers I grew extremely fond of Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), which led to me listening to the full record whenever I commuted to work throughout December 2016.

I tend not to over-exhaust certain songs or albums with the fear of ‘killing’ it. I like to share out my listening time and scope to as many varied artists as possible.
